Protecting the Sacred, Nurturing with Devotion

In the spirit of Sri Ramanujar’s teachings, Sri Ramanujar Trust runs a dedicated Co-Salai (Cow Home)—a safe haven where abandoned, sick, and elderly cows are sheltered, fed, and lovingly cared for. We regard the cow as a symbol of compassion, nourishment, and divine grace, and consider it our sacred duty to protect and serve them.

Many cows are left to roam streets without food, water, or shelter. Some suffer injuries from accidents or abuse. Our Co-Salai initiative is a peaceful response to this suffering—a place where cows are treated not as burdens, but as blessings.

Our Care Includes:
  • Fresh green fodder, grains, and clean drinking water daily
  • Regular health check-ups and medical treatment
  • Safe shelter with clean resting areas
  • Gentle handling and a stress-free environment
  • Opportunities for devotees to offer cow seva (service)
Why We Do This:
  • To uphold the spiritual and cultural significance of the cow
  • To prevent cruelty and neglect of voiceless animals
  • To promote non-violence and kindness among people
  • To create a space where service becomes devotion

You can be part of this beautiful cause by sponsoring a cow, donating food, or simply visiting our Co-Salai to experience the peace and purity that cows bring into our lives.
